Jobcentre Plus
We pride ourselves on our extensive links with the communities of Coventry. We have convenient locations within the Coventry area and have a referral system in place to assist the unemployed and those unable to work to access relevant training on a flexible basis. In most cases we are able to offer government funded courses through learndirect for those in receipt of:
- Jobseekers Allowance
- Income Support
- Working Tax Credits
- Housing/Council Tax Benefit
We work closely with Jobcentre Plus on the Employability Skills Programme and New Deal for Lone Parent Project.
Worksmart
Once learners have progressed through their courses and qualifications we are able to refer them onto other agencies such as Worksmart Southwest Project who provide a comprehensive advice and information service on jobs, money matters, health and personal development. Individuals may also be eligible for a free place on the STEPS Personal Development Programme.
Tile Hill Stakeholders Group
We are committed to working with local residents, the voluntary sector and community groups in the Tile Hill North Neighbourhood. We work closely with and are members of the Tile Hill North Stakeholders Group and meet regularly to discuss issues and opportunities such as:
- Regeneration and environmental improvement for the area
- Public reassurance and crime reduction
- Information about what is happening in the neighbourhood
